What a PSL face rating means on this page
A PSL face rating is an internet-community score commonly shown on a compressed 1–8 scale. There is no official governing standard, validated assessment, or universal formula behind the term.
FaceRating.me starts with the same inspectable 0–100 geometry score used by the free analyzer, then converts it to a 1–8 display value. The source score stays visible beside the PSL result so the conversion can be checked instead of treated as an unexplained verdict.
The output belongs to the submitted photo. It does not measure personality, social status, dating outcomes, health, identity, or personal worth. The scale is presented for entertainment and comparison within this one tool.

Use the scale carefully
A PSL score is not a scientific ranking
The calculated distances are consistent, but the decision to combine them—and the weights used—is a product convention. Attractiveness remains subjective and cannot be reduced to an objective social hierarchy.
If face-rating content is affecting how you eat, sleep, socialize, or feel about yourself, stop retesting. A number from one image is not equipped to carry that kind of importance.

What is a PSL face rating?
A PSL face rating is an internet-community convention that usually compresses a facial appearance score onto a 1–8 scale. It is not a clinical, psychological, or scientifically validated measure. FaceRating.me keeps the source 0–100 geometry score visible beside the converted result.
How does this PSL score test work?
The browser maps 478 landmarks and calculates a source score from facial symmetry, thirds, fifths, and golden-ratio proximity. It then converts that 0–100 value with the displayed formula: 1 + source score multiplied by 0.07.
Is the PSL scale the same as a 1–10 rating?
No. This page uses a 1–8 display range, so a PSL result should not be compared directly with a casual rating out of ten. Other communities and tools may also use different formulas or tier labels.
Is a PSL face rating objective?
The landmark distances are calculated consistently, but the choice of formula and the idea of attractiveness remain subjective. Lighting, angle, expression, grooming, and lens perspective can also change the photo-level output.
Does the PSL test use separate male and female scales?
No. FaceRating.me applies the same geometry formula to every photo. It does not use gendered stereotypes, community labels, or separate ideals for men and women.
Why is my PSL score different on another site?
There is no official PSL formula. Sites may use different landmarks, weights, score ranges, image models, and subjective judgments. Compare retakes within one tool rather than treating scores from unrelated systems as interchangeable.
Can a PSL score tell me my social value or dating success?
No. A photo score cannot measure personality, expression in real life, confidence, compatibility, social context, or personal worth. Use the result only as an entertainment-oriented view of one image.
